Recommended for connecting JrF c-series contact microphones, d-series hydrophones (and standard contact mics and hydrophones) to XLR input recorders such as those made by Sound Devices, Zoom, Nagra, Tascam, Roland, etc.
Impedance matching significantly improved frequency response and also avoids interference from a recorders internal circuits.
We've used lots of different adaptors over the years and these are the ones that work best. Well built and they work better than transforming adaptors costing a great deal more.
IMPORTANT;
We've had a small number (2) of these adaptors from one batch with a fault in how the two sections are connected, resulting in them separating. They can be pushed back together but until we can work out what is causing this issue we advise that you only grip the adaptor by the thicker section when connecting & disconnecting from your recorder.
