One to One Mentoring

One day face to face mentoring sessions aimed at all levels of experience, with content adapted to your individual needs.

Whether you already have your own equipment or want to explore the possibilities of listening through microphones, the aim of the sessions is to focus on listening as a key practice in the arts;

soundscape / composition / installation / sound walking / sound art / sound design / performance

Jez is based in East Yorkshire, so sessions can be arranged in this locale. He can also travel, with additional costs to be factored in.

Pheobe is based in London and works with field recording as part of her installation and performance practice.

online mentoring;

Online sessions, again designed around your needs and experience, from the basics of buying equipment through to starting point techniques, extended recording methods, durational listening and working with recordings in a DAW (digital audio workstation) to create audio works for release, installation (inc. multi-channel diffusion) and in performance settings.

Available in various durations, either single or multiple sessions.
